Boston in Bloom

Britain in Bloom

RHS Britain in Bloom is one of Europe’s largest horticultural campaigns that has helped cities, towns and villages to be improved since 1964.

Over 1,600 cities, towns and villages take part each year and focus on horticultural and environmental achievements as well as community participation. This includes caring for local parks, planting trees and shrubs, organising clean up events and helping to run school garden projects.

Most projects are run by volunteers, which makes Britain in Bloom a wonderful campaign for people to come together and look after their community.

Successful Summer Fun!

It’s not easy keeping the kids entertained over the summer holidays. At Pescod Square Shopping Centre, however, a series of supervised summer events provided little monsters with a great way to keep occupied throughout August, express themselves and make new friends!

A Right Royal Knees Up at Pescod Square!

Pescod Square hosted a day of regal revelry on Saturday 11th June to celebrate the Queen's official 90th birthday. This incorporated plenty of free royal-themed entertainment, including a Jubilant Jewels Craft Workshop, Sovereign Selfies, a charity raffle and a royal street party. Footfall was up by 24.64% and a fantastic £254.50 was raised for the Boston Lions!

National Doughnut Week

National Doughnut Week was celebrated from 9th to 15th May this year. To celebrate, Pescod Square teamed up with our friends at Greggs to give away a box of doughnuts to our Facebook followers! For the opportunity to win, followers were invited to like and share a post on the page. The winner was selected at random on the afternoon of Friday 13th May.

Anna Brown was the lucky winner and was presented with her doughnuts - along with her children - the same afternoon.

The competition was a 'sweet' success, reaching just under 9,000 people on social media!
